Any help or advice, please?

I got accepted to Parsons The New School for Design in New York. My dream school. I made my deposit, so now I have my seat reserved. I'm in. But there's one problem: my Financial Aid.

My estimated cost of attendance is aprox. $53,000.
The aid I got: $22,160.

I got a lot of money, but clearly not enough. I feel so bad because this is the only school that accepted me and the only one that I really want to go to. What should I do? I mean, I know it's a stupid question but that's what makes me so furious. The place where I come from doesn't give me orientation to go to college outside of the country - well, at least the school I go to - so I'm really confused in terms of loans and things I need to do in order to get all of that money. It makes me sick because I know I could have been more prepared for this stuff, like applying for good scholarships if only I would have had some good orientation & help.

It's already been hard for me so don't make it worse.

I have applied to other scholarships and I'm still filling them out just in case, but nothing can guarantee that I win 'em.

Can someone here answer me with real answers? What would you do? Are there actually loans for that amount of money that I need to pay?

“The place where I come from doesn’t give me orientation to go to college outside of the country”. From this I would guess you are an international, correct? Did you apply to any schools in your country? Can your family even afford loans of $30K/year for your schooling? You need to see what other less expensive options there are. Waiting for a year is one. Will Parsons defer your entrance to next year while you work and save $?

the OP was born raised and lives in Puerto Rico (according to other posts)

I believe they are eligible for stafford loans.

to the OP. If your parents can’t afford this school, then you can’t go to it.

There is NO WAY anyone should take out 30K+ in loans for 1 year of college
