I was wondering if my bull**** sophomore year grades would keep me out. Do i have any chance at any ivies? I am looking more towards one that is strong in science/engineering. Please be honest, it will hurt less now than it will later.

It might be a longshot but id still apply because you never know they may see more than that, and it’s better to get a rejection letter than wonder your whole life about if you could’ve gotten in!

Your test scores are good and ECs unique, so you never know!

Reach due to

 1. Asian+engineering sets the bar much higher. Your ECs aren’t competitive enough to compete with other engineering applicants. Many of them have some records of awards and competition.
 2. a bit low average UW GPA. You have some weird GPA trend. What happened during sophomore year? Your GC might be able to explain.

No.1 reason could be less negative if your school resource for engineering is bad-of course, GC will need to write about this in your LOR.

Only thing that might be able to compensate for your lacking parts is your essay.

Good luck
