Any hope for money? honors college?

Hi! I was wondering if there is any chance of me getting into the honors college or some sort of merit scholarship. I’m an OOS female. I attend a well-known college prep school. Here are some of my stats…

ACT: 32 (one sitting)
GPA: 3.8 (weighted)

AP Student (completed AP Psychology and AP English Literature and Composition, currently enrolled in AP Calculus, AP English Language and Composition, and AP Government)
My school only allows students to take 3 APs per year, starting in junior year. We are placed in the class and really do not have a say in what APs we take (unless we really have a problem, of course). I have taken honors leveled classes as well as classes for college credit.

School does not rank

Common App Essay: College Advisor told me it was very well-written, interesting, and different

I applied to 11 schools and have gotten very generous scholarships from almost all, still waiting to hear from UCONN and one other.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

From what I remember the minimum cut off for honors is 1400/1600 SAT, and I believe that is the equivalent of 32 ACT, so there is a chance…

From what I remember for Merit $/scholarship $, the SAT score was around the same 1400….maybe 1350, but the 1 thing I know for sure….from last year you had to be in the top 10% of your HS graduating class. My daughter just missed it…she was top 12%.

rfk5130 I just happen to be on here for my son, but my daughter (who graduated in 2014) was admitted into the honors program with similar stats. Her un-weighted GPA was 3.7 (they didn’t weight in at her high school) but her SAT was 2260 and ACT 34. She had 3 AP’s Jr. Year and 4 Sr. Year, and was yearbook editor, NHS, etc. She didn’t end up going to UCONN but many of her friends did. She did not receive a scholarship even though she was accepted into the honors program. Good Luck to you

Last year my daughter did not get into honors at UCONN (4.1 w gpa, 3.8 uw, SAT 2000 (1330 M +CR), rank 12/225 ) but she did get a $12k scholarship. Not enough for her to go there though (got into UMass Honors college, scholarship and instate tuition ). good luck!

My daughter is sophomore at UConn and the only thing that kept her out of honors was SAT score. They are strictly by the number, which I believe was1350+/-. She had 4.7 w gpa, top 4% of her class of 550 students. With 35,000 apps for 3500 spots in Storrs, numbers count there.

thanks everyone!!

update for future applicants: I got into the honors program with $18k/year!!
