Hi everyone,
im going to apply for honors college and i find those three essay topic quite challenging. anybody has been working on it? ive got no clue on that mt.rushmore. i mean i have no clue at all, help! any idea?

I don’t think anyone would want to share their essay ideas for the honors college. Isn’t the point to come up with it yourself? Keep trying.

well i just want some ideas, anything however abstract, just something to inspire me.
btw is ur kid in PSU?

Yes, she is.

I remember my D thinking last year’s were challenging too. We talked them over with her and it helped her to get started. Can you talk to your family about their ideas? It might help to get your thoughts going. I just looked up the Mount Rushmore question. That is definitely one you might need to think about a few days. Make a list of ten or more people and then try to narrow it down.

Good luck! I think the essays are just so they can get to know you better. There is no right answer. They just want to see you put your thoughts together.

be careful about strong outside influences. The point is to get to know something about you. If essay A is heavily influenced by others, but essays B and C are not or by a different source, a mixed message will come out. We can tell when essays are over edited or influenced by different people.
The last post provided with with good advice. Make sure it is sincere and not what you think the readers want to read

that was so helpful! i will talk to my family sometime but i guess ill do a ton of reseaech first.
