Any in-staters accepted in last few days who were deferred EA?

I know some Michigan residents were accepted in December and January after having been deferred EA. I'm curious if anyone instate who applied EA and had been deferred was accepted in this recent wave of acceptances.

i dont know of anyone yet, but i expect monday to be the day they start

I hope so. Our house has been one stressful place since December. I am so tempted to spoof a “rejection” email from admissions so my daughter can just move on, but I’m sure that would end up with her requesting an explanation from them and end up a complete mess. I think waitlist would be the unhealthiest option for her. Good luck to all!

does anyone know if for sure umich will be sending out answers to EA students who were deferred starting tomorrow?

Well, I see no reason for them not to. They started sendin decisions to deferred applicants. I expect them to continue on Monday.

Yep - I was deferred back in December by LSA under EA, and then accepted this past Friday! My mid-year grades had been sent out the week before that.

Does everyone who is deferred eventually hear one way or the other? I had a friend who was deferred and he told me he never ended up hearing from umich again. Maybe his mother just threw out the letter before he saw it or something.

Congratulations Ariana! Glad they are reviewing EA deferrals from MI along with the others this early. @Emaheevul, I would think it’s always possible for someone to fall between the cracks, but I’ve never heard of anyone not hearing back. I know in past years some deferred applicants ended up waitlisted and never heard back. Also I’ve heard of some waitlisted applicants who were called in as late as June if the rumor mill holds any credibility.
