<p>Hello to all the Knights here in the UCF forum.</p>
<p>I will probably be attending UCF in the fall of 2009 as a junior transfer from Broward Community College, and I have a ton of questions about transferring and also about the major. I will also be entering Burnett, if all goes as planned.</p>
<p>Are there any engineering students here who could answer questions for me?</p>

<li><p>I have space for a math elective this coming spring. My choices are linear algebra, discrete math, and statistics. Which should I choose considering that I have never taken any of them before?</p></li>
<li><p>Do seniors with good grades and an internship or two usually have trouble finding a job?</p></li>

<p>I haven't taken the others but I took statistics back when I was a freshman and thought it was pretty easy. I took it at BCC with a teacher that looked like doc brown from back to the future, can't remember his name though. Ill be taking stats 2 this semester and might use all my math electives on stat classes. I'm so over calculus.</p>
<p>I majored in Industrial Engineering in Georgia Tech. Linear Algebra or Matrix Theory is pretty easy and should have been taught side by side with Calc II. Also Discrete math and Stat are requierements in IE at least it was at my school. Discrete was pretty hard, stats was not that bad. So in level of diffuculty:
1) Discrete
2) Stat
3)Linear Algebra</p>
<p>But professor rankings count more than the material so make sure you know the history of grade distribution of the professors for each class you take.
I had decent grades and intern experience ( 3 times at intel) I had a hard time finding a job but landed one finally as a management consultant. Good Luck</p>
