I mistakenly posed this question in the Vandy forum.

Anyone have info about the University of Oklahoma? They offer a very generous scholarship for NMFs. My D is particularly interested in the school of science.

Anyone have info about the University of Oklahoma? They offer a very generous scholarship for NMFs. My D is particularly interested in the school of science.

My son was a NMF a few years ago and was recruited by UOk. The school is a good school and likely has a good science program. Is your D interested in Pre-med?

Since she’s interested in the College of Arts and Sciences…which area of science is she interested in?

It’s honors college has many of the benefits of all honors colleges…smaller class size, undergrad research opportunities, priority registration, etc.

D is interested in pre-veterinary. OU doesn’t have a biology major (?) but they do have zoology which would work.
We’re interested enough that I’m going to plan a campus visit.

The campus will surprise you. Other than the campus being very flat the architecture is interesting, it’s called “Cherokee Gothic.”

Interesting! I’m looking forward to visiting. . .

Meanwhile, anyone with any info - I’d love to hear all. They have a large population of nmfs at OU, so I’ll bet there are some CCers with first hand experience?
