Any interesting stories about your SAT day?

Oh, whoops, I forgot the best one…the PROCTOR’S cellphone went of really, really loudly after she lectured us about having our cellphones off…

@ Calico- The 10th section is not used after every test.

@ Tilgaham, what do you mean “the 10th section is not used?”

@ Inconceivable, thx for sharing ;)

^ I believe that in some cases tests don’t have an experimental section.

For example:

[After the Test](<a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools)

the guy next to me shat in his pants
the room was sweltering hot
he smelled like ****
i was mad, hungry, thirsty, and hot
possibly the worst environment you could ask for.

The person giving the test was a total ******, he kept barking “no one can wear a hat in MY classroom” and gesturing toward the seats like it was a prize on wheel of fortune.
Ah yeah, and saying please take a seat like chris hansen.

rofl…

he really shat in his pants!!!

It was like the worst week of my life to have an SAT and my first college app is due before I would get the scores back from Sept, so this is the last time I can take them (I’m doing all my subjects in June).
I had a performance Friday night and I didn’t get home till ten. So I was studying backstage the whole time. I went to bed at 11 but I didn’t fall asleep until like 1:40. So I didn’t have enough sleep. I was very tired by the end and I was stressing out about being late to the beginning of my first warm up and rehearsal session (I had two today, 2 hours in between).

But I think I did well. And when I got to class everyone was all, did you do well on your SAT? I felt so supported.

Wow, tough schedule.

My schedule: sleep, then SAT, then internet :p

Sleep 8 hours>> SAT >>> Study for AP statistics and Physics competition!!!

I was sitting next to someone who’s stomach kept rumbling every few minutes. It was the comic relief I needed haha.

Living in Utah, few people take the SAT and therefore my school doesn’t offer it on site. So I had to take the bus down to the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, about twenty miles away. I found that I had to catch the bus at 4:57 AM in order to make it on time. While on the bus, I realized that I should have caught the 5:57 AM bus to get there at 7:15… So I got into downtown Salt Lake at 5:35, where I was supposed to catch the light rail train to the University. Unfortunately, the earliest train left at 6:25, so I rode my bike, which I had used to get to the bus stop two miles away from my house and brought on the bus, to a different train station. The mile or so that I biked to the terminus of the line was incredibly pleasant and probably got me ready for the test more than anything else I did. It was lightly raining and the ground was level as I biked along the sidewalk, no one on the street, at 5:45 AM. You should try it; it was incredibly pleasant and relaxing. The train came, and I rode it to the University, getting there around 6:45 AM. I was the first one there and had no idea where to go. Eventually the organizers showed up and I was directed to my room. Once inside, I met the two test proctors, an incredibly fat man and his slender twenty-something daughter. At least 2/3 of the 30 or so students who were in my room nearly went straight to a seat without checking in. The proctor was a funny guy and I really liked him. His daughter remained silent for the duration of the test. Idk when we’re supposed to do the stupid cursive statement thing, but I assumed it was before Section 1. He didn’t tell us to do it until after Section 1. I almost ran out of room on the statement and had to cram the last two words in there to make it fit. Everyone got done with it at about the same time except for one kid. While we finished in about two minutes, he took five or six. We were all just sitting there waiting for this one kid. Also I was the first one done in the group on like six or seven sections lol…

Anyway, other than all that, things went pretty much as I expected. Being a sophomore, this is my first SAT. I took the ACT in April and got a 34, and having answered every question today am hoping for a 2200-2300 at least.

Y’all probably don’t care about my early-morning bike ride through downtown Salt Lake City lol…

A girl came to the test centre in her PJs,straight out of bed. When she came into the room just on time, everyone started ■■■■■■■■■■■ When the guy was giving the instructions, she raised her hand and asked to go to the ladies room, at this point everyone started laughing. He was telling us how to fill out “Page 1” and she was asking about the toilet. It was the funniest test ever!!

someone farted soo loud. it went like this “SWOOOSH (gas is being released), crackle, FART, swoooshhhhshshs”

lololol

@rslnerd wow! that seems like a lot of work just to get there! hope you did well!

My proctor told really bad jokes.

And throughout the whole test he was limping around.

D:

Just sorta bothered me…

How much did you sleep the night before in preparation for this sojourn?

I find it really hard to concentrate when the proctor is walking around. Thankfully, this one sat at her desk most of the time.

My proctor was terrible. She let kids use TI-89s. Some girl’s phone rang during the test, and the proctor didn’t even say anything.
