any international interviews?

anybody living in limited interviewers countries got contacted for an interview?

I didn’t get any… and I guess that means ‘curtains down’ for us. After all, why would H think about stupid applicants like me when they already have freaking geniuses to choose from…

why did I even apply? On the top of that, I even hoped of an acceptance…

My permanent address (where I currently am) is in one of the countries on the “limited interviewers” list, and I just had an interview over Skype with a Harvard alumna this past Tuesday. :)

my friend got contacted…but then, she IS a rockstar in all possible connotations of the word except “headbanging music player”

Is it true that Harvard selects qualified international students for interviews anyway?? It’s already March and I haven’t received any interview appointments… That’s so bad… ><

@ashkenazy

based on previous threads, yes…your hypothesis is true.

Oh great, now I’m not gonna sleep till the 29th…

@HCaulfield I’m so dead… I wanna cry!!! ><

I am also in an area with a limited number of interviewers and out of the 3 people applying to Harvard, only I got contacted.

Having that said, however, I would like to point two things:

 1. Yes, in my area only people who have a chance get an interview (and many get rejected thereafter).
 2. If you are in the same situation like mine, i.e. area with a limited number of interviewers, and you don’t get an interview, this might mean just that there are no interviewers available to do the interview at the time, so you are not necessarily out of the question. ;)

Agreed with Amk933

There are some places that are just too darn remote.

But I’m in China, that’s not too remote is it? …

China…
It’s like saying “I am from the world.”

Depends on which part your in. You can be in China and be in a very remote area with no interviewers. Not Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and some of the bigger ones, but the rural areas - definitely remote.

I am definitely the first guy in the eons (if not ’ the first guy ever’) to apply from my place in my country to apply to Harvard.

SO, I don’t know if applicants get interviews. I just don’t want to be sure of a rejection before getting anything encouraging.

Ok sorry, I’m from Chengdu, a major city in the southeastern part of China, but definitely quite remote compared to Shanghai, Beijing etc.

so if theres been no interview request so far, it’s pretty much time to give up hope right?

The only Harvard admit from Malaysia in 2011 got her interview request in late March. No issue, stop worrying.

@ilike cows

yes :/

My interviewer told me this - Harvard starts reading applications from December and interviews are decided by late January so MOST International applicants from limited interview area who take their tests on Jan 28th don’t get interviews… So those who have taken their tests on Jan 28th… Don’t worry you still have chance… :-)

Anybody from Nepal who got interviewed?
