Any international student (living abroad) got his/her UChicago acceptance package?

Anyone in Mexico hear yet? How can UPS acceptances arrive at the same time as non-UPS rejections? Are all acceptances UPS? If I haven't gotten anything it means I probably didn't get in, right?

no news yet, nkay - i'm going up the wall here

I got mine in Seoul, Korea yesterday (4/5/05), so you all should be hearing from Chicago soon.

Anyways, it looks like I am going to Chicago. Hope to see you guys there.

im will waiting... any malaysians got it yet ?

teotihuacan- I am having the same qurey /._.</p>

malaysian here waryap. my four frens and i got our acceptance packages today. u from victoria? asean scholar..cool+scary .. hehe

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhfdfhdjfdhjfhdjfhdjkf kjfhwojhewo hepo ewofi opijpofewjo

tell me my decision!

wow congrats again haha im saying congrats on every thread. so are u and all ur friends gonna go?

hahaah silver, thanks! actually no, of my four friends, only 1 is attending. the other three got accepted at harvard, caltech and stanford.

i'm still thinking about it. it's between chicago and berkeley for econs. am a little intimidated by chicago's very academic image. read that you will be flying over to visit chicago..tell me all about it!

astrix, anyone from your place have heard?

i don't think anyone from india has heard yet and that's just sad

no lefay, we checked flights today and it's very time consuming.. and expensive. so i decided that i'm not going to anymore.
it's just too much effort and everything.. with exams coming up i dont think it'll be worth it..

Hang in there, configure! I hope you get in! Though I think you have nothing to worry about considering that you got into Cornell. Good luck!

lefay - oh my gosh, Chicago's probably the best university in the WORLD for Economics. I wouldn't dream of attending such a huge university like Berkeley - you'd at least be in small classes at Chicago! Then again I got rejected from Jerkeley so there's not much I can say in favour of it :p Ultimately it's your choice - but IMO I'd go for Chicago. Unless you want to go to Berk for the climate - then that's a different matter.

lol - thanks nkay, but it ain't that clear cut....cornell isn't giving me any financial aid, so whopeedodah to them. ditto with berkeley - looks like its either brandeis (wien scholarship!) or reed.

good luck to you as well...as well as anybody yet to hear. looks like its gonna be a tense wait from now on, seeing as the rest of the world seems to have heard...

ne internationals that are up now.. that havent got their decisions yet.. i suggest u call alison segal.. shes in her office now. :) good luck
(i just spoke to her, she's very nice)

interesting, silver...you seem to imply that our admission decisions will be given over the phone...

well, i just shot off an email to her. i'll go have a bath, and then see what happens.

damn, princeton just rejected me :p

edit: stupid plumbing is malfunctioning. you couldn't drown an ant in the amount of water i just bathed in.

i'm really sorry configure bout p-ton.. was it a top choice for u?
i'm not sure if you've actually been to the school, but I have.. and IMO, you should be glad that you're not goin there.
I honestly hated p-ton a lott!!
I guess that's why I didnt' apply.. but neway if it was for the name and prestige then I don't thiink it's worth it.

have you not go ur chicago decision yet?

well i better go to bed. good night.

p.s - i didn't talk to alison segal about my admissions decision. i talked to her bout my choices, and asked her lots of questions bout chicago etc... so i;m not 100% sure that ur decision will be told to u on the phone. im just assuming that .. since we've pretty much all heard, there wont be a big problem giving u ur decision since u havent heard.. u noe what i mean?

yeah, guess its worth a try - maybe i'll call in a bit...

thanks man, but nah, princeton wasn't a top choice at all - it was just another reach :D

hey silver, you from singapore? i used to live there, a few years ago...

oh really? cool. where did u go to school?
no, i'm korean. but i've lived here long enough

oh shiit....

I got the rejection email.

Chicago was my 1st choice. Damn.
