Any international student (living abroad) got his/her UChicago acceptance package?

Bummer.

I'm just curious...int'ls, post your decision and whether or not you applied for aid...I'm curious whether or not this was a factor.

I was accepted and didn't apply for any aid.

silver, i was your old school school-boy - went to dover court - if i hadn't left, i would have been at UWC

waryap, did you say rejection email? could someone please confirm the existence of these emails

In light of this new "rejection email" post... I have my own theory. Those that have gotten accepted got a UPS package, right? So if we got no UPS package, and no email... Perhaps those of us in Limbo are bound to a couple more weeks of torture... Waitlisted.
Might make sense, right?

it ain't heaven and it ain't hell...teotihuacan, i believe that limbo is the correct term :p

I was denied and I applied for aid

astrix, man - i am so incredibly sorry. this is just painful.

i haven't got a package yet. shaking. just shaking.

damn, mate

two of classmates just got rejected - one got it by post, and the other hasn't told me yet whether she got the notice by email or post.

they're both incredibly smart....rats. i so wish i lived at my postal address instead of in the bleeding country.

am i the only one left to hear?

edit: she got the email. am on edge of seat

No I still haven't hear yet..no emails, packages whatever.

I wonder what's going on with Chicago...

just got the mail waitlisted

i'm sorry to hear this...it's better than rejection
while most likely i will be rejected..with nothing heard.

waryap and astrix - I'm sorry, guys! I know you were keen on attending. don't worry about it, go on and shine at another school. At least you won't have to brave the winters!

configure - We have a saying over here - delays make happy endings, or something along those lines. Hope all goes well! Just keep hanging in there.

thanks, nkay.

well, no email yet. no package either, though.

beginning to resign myself to brandeis here...

Don't worry - e-mails are all sent at the same time, as far as I know. The fact that your friends got it and you didn't could be a sign. The packet could take a while to arrive, even with courier - I still haven't got mine from Stanford.

How come you chose Brandeis over Cornell and Berkeley? Just wondering. But I hope you get into Chicago!

i got waitlisted and i didn't get any emails

simple, nkay - Berkeley and Cornell aren't giving me any financial aid :D

Brandeis, on the other hand, is giving me a whopping Wien Scholarship

Wow! Congratulations :D Good on you - you'll take a lot of weight off your parents' backs.

i think one of my friends (deferred EA Chicago) still hasn't heard anything yet. Don't worry guys...I'm still waiting on NYU Stern even though I'm not going.

configure,
If you don't hear soon, call admissions - things do go wrong with delivery systems!

jacey: where are you going then?

I'd love to go to Chicago...if they accept me, I would make no hestitation and go for it...but sigh....i kinda gave up already...afterall chicago is tough to get in!

configure, may be you can send alison an email...

already did, internationalstudent

i think you're right, ohio_mom, i'll call if i don't get anything by tomorrow evening.
