<p>Thanks for the replies. I know alternative careers are an option. I have dreamed of living in the US since I was young, and since visiting there its only stronger. Though I know how much easier it would be to stay here in the UK I do not wish to. My interests are in animal (specifically canid) behavior, and with the dream of living in the US I’m just looking to combine the two… Since meeting wolf biologists in the US I saw that as an ideal. Really I’m just wondering what other internationals looking to work with animals do. There must be internationals who come to the USA for the wildlife, studying wildlife biology for example, but what they do afterwards I don’t know.
Is the only way to pursue this to get any job I can for several years until I’ve achieved citizenship/green card?
