I'm really interested in Rice's mathematical economic analysis major. can anyone tell me what the major consists of? i know the basics (i.e. quant. analysis, game theory, econometrics, etc.) that the major would entail, but I'd like to know a little bit more about it in depth. I've enjoyed my calculus and economics classes this year in HS, does this major involve math and economics in difft. amounts or same amounts? thanks in advance.

Yeah, ditto. I'm interested in both MEA and CAAM. is that a doable double major? I know they share some of the same upper division classes, but are their core requirements too broad?

I know a guy who graduated with degree in CAAM. He is working for a computer firm in Houston now, and from the few times i talked to him, he seemed to really be into the major. MEA and CAAM are in different schools, so i'm not really sure on an answer to your question. Nice to know there is someone else interested in MEA as well.
