Any news from Stanford admission?

Is the date to know acceptance on April 1 or did anybody hear anything already?

Over on the Stanford board, they are saying the letters are being prepared now and will go out next week. So you should hear by late next week. (My son has also applied there.)

Good luck!

Thank you for the info

does anyone know what exact day Stanford is mailing decision letters out ?

i got into cornell! woot

someone on Stanford board said they called and were told the 29th...check threads there

do they notify by email?

no way...that would be...like...convenient! lol...no it is all by snail mail, and if you are afflicted with unreliable postal service it is a major pain! but what can you expect from a school that took forever just to send that lovely postcard? Stanford is one of the few that do not e-mail or even use the common app. for that matter...

~although MIT, (considering how technologically advanced they are!), also went the snail mail route, while most Ivies (to my knowledge) are either e-mailing or posting

I like the snail mail thing because it is classic. It wouldnt be any fun if everything were online

actually I think I agree with you...it's really surreal to find out on-line...I had to print out UCIrvine and UCLA to really accept it...the waiting game is just getting to me I guess :) ...I was even debating on whether I will check Harvard by e-mail or wait for the letter...

~although I have a friend who applied early to Stanford that didn't receive his letter after a few weeks of waiting and had to call the admissions office to finally get his decision!

did he get in? cause that would be awesome

I called for my decision at UCSD when I couldnt log in to the system

Stanford & Princeton seem to hate sending any email. It would be very slow for us intl students.
sigh...
Stanford: March 29 + >12 days = >April 10 ? hope it wont get lost on the way.:)

u can call after a few days

intl call? Uh, i may consider using Skype out, or else too expensive, haha ;P

or just arrive on the first day of classes and say... what, you guys didnt accept me, well then why didnt I get a rejection letter

:) haha...
But that is really a problem. Some colleges send out their admission package through FedEx or DHL, etc. But others dont. I have no idea what will stanford do to intl applicants.
