So it's just come to my attention that I made a huge mistake in submitting my documents to U of M. I'm a transfer student, but I graduated from high school in 2001, so my ACT scores were from a year before. Any transfer student who hasn't taken the ACTs or SATs isn't required to do so, but if you have taken them, the scores need to be sent.

I thought that sending in a transcript with my pitiful scores on them was sufficient, but I must have been looking at my second choice college's website, because on Sunday I was looking at the admissions facebook page and saw the post stating that scores listed on transcripts won't be accepted.

I emailed my admissions counselor asking if this invalidates my application, or if I should still request to have them sent, but I'm still waiting to hear back. I'm hoping that since my scores are so old, and since I have more than 70 credits, that there might be some leniency, but I've given myself a massive migraine just thinking about it. U of M is a big reach for me, so I'm prepared for rejection, but the idea of being rejected over something I could have prevented makes me feel pretty foolish and angry with myself.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Has this happened to any transfer applicants before? Or anyone who has ever gone past a deadline for required documents?

My other question is: are there any transfer applicants on this board who are a little more nontraditional, like me? (And by nontraditional I mean people who are approaching 30)
