<p>What do people who don’t get into big 4 do?</p>
<p>We enjoy our 9-5 job, and sometimes a higher salary, considering overtime. We do work long hours, but that usually happens during a quarter close, or a compliance season.</p>
<p>It’s not always about corporate. You’ll love a 9-5 and slightly lower salary. And considering New York, etc is a high cost of living, you aren’t making much at the Big 4 until you work for a few years to get a raise.</p>
<p>You start at 45-50k as a staff accountant.</p>
