<p>Hi! I’m a senior from North Carolina and I’m planning to apply for the FDDS program. I just wanted to start this discussion group to talk about deadlines, results, and what we’ve heard about the program in general.</p>

<p>I am. I read that to receive priority you should apply before December 15. Although I am not sure on other stuff and I may be wrong.</p>

<p>Hello! I am applying to American and am very interested in the FDDS program. Do you guys know the typical numbers for semifinalists and then finalists (I heard that they choose around five per year but I may be mistaken)? Best of luck also! </p>

<p>I’m applying though I feel like it’s such a stretch that I’ll get it. American would be my first choice if I were to get the FDDS, but one of my last choices if I don’t get it (because of money, location, other factors like that). I’d regret not applying though.</p>

<p>If you apply to FDDS, do you have to apply to the honors program too?</p>

<p>@Nickyorios I’m pretty sure that if you are applying to FDDS then you do not have to apply for the honors program. This is just a minor question, but does applying tomorrow (December 15 at 11:59 p.m.) still count as priority consideration? </p>

Just found out son is moving on to round 2. It came in an e-mail.

Just received an email that I was selected for consideration in Round 2! Does anyone know how many move on to Round 2? We will be notified if selected as finalists by February 27!

Received an email too, do you think that round 2 for FDDS and Honors is basically a guaranteed chance of admission? I know they say it isnt… but

Did people receive separate emails for honors and for FDDS? Or just one email covering both? Thanks.

For each program there were different emails, @SJDad1 . I ended up getting into round 2 for each of the scholar programs.

I also made it to round 2!! congratulations everyone! i’m not sure how many people are selected for round 2, but i know that only 5 people will be accepted to the full scholars program

Does anybody know when we hear back if we’ve made it into round 3?
