how did you know is michelle? anywayz i didn't recieve one yet but i called them and they said that it was sent around feb. 26 or 28 but I haven't gotten it yet. when you received the package, did they say that you qualified academically or just the financial documents alone, just wondering...

my sats is 1670/2400
and my gpa is like 88/100(i have only lived in US for a year.so they may probably convert my chinese grade into my gpa,but idk.)
and my toefl is 96.

Oh because you can easily guess from your name that it's michelle. Besides that, if you receive financial forms then you can already assume that you're academically qualified otherwise the forms wouldnt have been sent and would be denied as EOP straight off the bat.
Soda- You only lived in US for a year? Do you have a permanent residency card? (Visa; Green card)? As it says in the requirements you must be either a New york resident for a certain amount of years or U.S citizen in order to be eligible as EOP. If you dont have one, that may be a legimitate reason that you've been disqualifeid for EOP and put to regular admissions.

im a permanent residency card... and it says that i have to live in NY for a year so that i can be legimitate for eop...
and i have met all these requirement...so i dont know...
im still waiting for bing, buffalo, albany and new paltz...

Hi

What date did u guys get accepted into Bing EOP

I am applying as a transfer student because my old school didn’t have an EOP program

When binghamton sends admission decisions, if you were rejected from eop will they send that letter at the date they typically send acceptance letters

Or do they send the rejection letter a little earlier giving you a chance to reapply regular admission?

Thanks so much

Hello, I got admitted into Stony brook’s EOP program a month ago. I want to ask about the EOP program. Is it a bad program? Will i be able to take regular classes as those students who are not in EOP program do? will they put me in some stupid classes? i dont know…i am kinda confused about it. and my orietation day is earlier than my friend’s. I just wonder if I will be able to have the same advantages or choices as those who are not in the EOP program. (esp when it comes to choosing classes for semesters)
Thank you very much for answering!

regards,
rainbow09

rainbow, congrats in being accepted to EOP. I believe that you will probably have more advantage then those that are not in EOP. Over the summer( 1 summer only) you will take 4 classes. 2 that which will fulfill your dec requirement (other school refers this as gen ed). During your academic year you are required to take 2 writing classes and after that all the rest is regular classes like the normal students. So you will not be at a disadvantage.

Also when you are in EOP you can register for classes earlier than the regular students that are in your year. You will have your own counselor where they will help you academically and financially. They also have their own computer lab too.

Hope this helps ^_^

How many students are accepted into the EOP?
