I'm the one who chose Michigan, although I will have to pay lot more than my in-state school

I could save a lot by going to in-state school but I like Michigan and I want to have best college experience
It's not that my instate school won't provide me with full of opportunities,
But, I confirmed that I wont be happy if I just go to instate school because of money....(it was tough decision though....)

I was wondering if anybody made same decison

Im from CA and i got into UCSD and UCI and U of M. I chose U of M..and even though it'll cost more, the disparity in the connections/education for Econ (or business) betwee UCSD and U of M was just too great that the extra money is worth it. hahah we should have a CC meet up at U of M : P. Jk thats kinda lame.

I am from Michigan and yet classified as OOS beacuse of my immigrant visa status I have. I chose Umich over any other school in spite of its skyrocketing OOS tuition for its reputation, quality of education and large great university experience.

I chose UofM (ross, before they had preadmits) over UIUC (bschool). It was kinda difficult not being garunteed bschool at uofm..but I'm really glad about my decision (even though its a lot more expensive!)

chose UMich over Penn State, even though PSU is not OOS for me. (All universities are OOS for me coz i'm an international student, but i've been living in the US for 5 years). Even though its 10K more per year, it has a better international reputation than Penn State, so if I end up abroad, the Umich degree will matter a lot.

think it matters most what your in-state school is. for example, people that live in the states with the elite public universities such as UVA, Cal, Berkeley, UNC in my opinion should attend those schools over UMich, unless you get a ton of money.

UConn is an excellent school....For an instate student, I would recommend it over any school. I just graduated, and believe me when I tell you, its a great feeling graduating without any debt.
