So I ended up slacking off quite badly in my freshman year, without really any idea what i wanted to do. Now, I believe that I want to become a pre-pharm student. Looking at the 2 year track, I'm realizing it's impossible for me to finish that program now. This fall (i'll be a sophomore) I'll be taking chem II, bio II, calc I, PHY2020 (not sure if i'm ready for PHY2053 yet), and possibly stat 2.

Is there any hope or any recourse anyone can think of to help me get on some sort of track to be admitted into a Pharmacy school?

Also any clubs or organizations I could join for support and information?

I’m a pre-pharm student starting this fall and just finished up with my orientation. Wanda Washington, the academic adviser for most pre-pharm students, stated that you don’t have to do the accelerated track because in all actuality, many students are unable to manage the ridiculous course load for the first 4 semesters. Just keep in mind that you now have to major in something with all the pre-professional requirements for pharmacy included. If I were you I’d contact her like lr2010 said. Her email is wanda@ufl.edu and I’m sure you could find her somewhere on the Pharmacy website. She’s a really nice woman.

You also will need to join the Pre-Pharmacy Society like me this fall because I’ve been told the group is an invaluable tool for study partners and PCAT help.
