I am currently a sophomore and go to the University of Pittsburgh. I applied to transfer to Penn State main campus in the summer, and then was told to send in my 1st semester grades before they made a decision.

Is anyone in the same situation as me, and has been given a decision?

Yeah they told me the same thing too. Today I got an e-mail from one of the advisors that said they were currently reviewing my transcript and wanted to know if I was taking any Spring 09' classes (which I am).

My stats:

High School
Act: 21 (sucks I know lol)
GPA: 3.4
Lots of EC including track and community service

College
GPA: 3.6
Credits: 39

I'm nervous...my BFF goes there and loves it. It would be a blow to her if I didn't get in not to mention I would feel the same too. I'm applied to other schools too. I only heard back from one (Howard University-ACCEPTED!) it's killing me not knowing.

Yea i think when they request your semester grades, that means that they are for the most part interested in you. I got a 3.57 for the semester that they requested, so it seems that I did what they asked haha... but i dunno

I was told to send in my spring semester classes in November.

Apparently they already made a decision for me and are letting me know within 3 days.......

oh and by the way... i dont think all of ur high school stats and EC's matter in transfer situations. An advisor told me that i didnt even need to fill out that part on the application...
