<p>frshstart, ask D to check her letter carefully. S got a similar sounding letter that worked like this: he could choose to remain on only the C&P waitlist, or ADD an alternate interest area but still be waiting on the C&P waitlist. The school then admitted him into the other major, but he remains on the C&P waitlist. If a place were to come open (not thinking that's very likely, but ok...) then he'd be considred and would be allowed to move over from the alternate major into C&P.</p>
