So now that we are almost finished with this long, painful process, are there things you wish you'd done differently? Would you have applied to more schools? Fewer schools? Different schools? Perhaps others can learn from our experiences, good or bad.

One the positive side - visiting schools really helped clarify my choices. My list after visiting was drastically different than my list beforehand. It's all about finding the "best" fit, NOT the "best" school.

One regret here - that I couldn't be decisive enough to pick one school and apply Early Decision. In retrospect, that is CLEARLY the way to go to greatly reduce the stress of senior year.

Sure hope the application process for grad school in 2011 is more sane!
