Any scholarships out there for someone like me who's the first in his family to attend college?
I strongly appreciate responses.

Nothing?!?

There could be by college- but I couldn’t find any when I applied a few years ago.

Thanks for a response.

What are your stats? Even 1st Gen scholarships will depend on what your stats are.

3.1 GPA weighted.

Never took the SAT or ACT and not planning to.

?? You aren’t taking the SAT or ACT? Where are you planning to apply? You will be ineligible to even apply at most colleges without at least one of them.

Going to a community college 1st.

Yes… but to qualify for most scholarships, you need an ACT or SAT score.

Don’t the CCs in your area require the ACT or SAT? They do in our state (except for non trad students who have been out of school for a while) so I assumed it was the same everywhere.

And as Roman says. they are often needed for scholarship consideration.

That blows…no my community college doesn’t require the SAT or ACT.

Pretty sure SATs/ ACT not required for cc’s in California,

They’re not.
I live in California.

If you are going to a CCC then you should be able to pay your school with a Stafford loan and some state/federal grants.
