Any schools near the Exeter,Andover,St.Mark's areas?

Can anybody point me towards some of the moderate "safety" schools that are in the Exeter/Andover and St.Mark's area?

It's just that I have afternoons free when I could be having an interview, and quite frankly, I'm afraid that I'll get rejected :(

Many thanks.

I wouldn't call these schools safeties, but they are less competitive than the schools you have selected -- Brooks, Governor's, Concord Academy and Lawrence Academy. If you are a girl, look at Dana Hall.

If you have some time before you interview, my suggestion is that you rearrange your schedule (providing you can get interviews). Fly into Boston and out of New York. This way, you can add a few more schools based on how they fit you rather than proximity to 3 other schools. There are many to select from in NH, MA, CT, NY (a few) and even NJ. You will need to add a few more days if you do this.

Good luck!

Governors Academy, Concord Academy, Lawrence Academy, Dana Hall, Notra Dame (if your a girl), Oak meadow (not a boarding school), Brooks (250 people get accepted out of 800, which is pretty good)

Oh ya- love the Groton School but it is defintiley NOT a safety-only about 10-20% of the people that apply get accepted.

There is also the Fay School in southborough literally two minutes away from St. Marks. Believe me I used to live there.

Isn't Fay School just for junior boarders (i.e. middle school age)? Cambridge School of Weston is not far from St. Mark's and may be worth a look as a safer admissions option (57% acceptance).

The Governors Academy- a wonderfully small schools with less demandings academics, yet it has dynamic athletic and academic programs. Average SSAT around 80 percentile. Wonderful teachers and students. It's not the same caliber as an Andover or Exeter, but it is a fine educational institution
