<p>Hey, I was wondering if there were any secret or key events happening that one should register early for, giving them a "leg-up" over the next applicant.</p>
<p>jnguyen had mentioned that if you call the housing department at a specific college he named, perhaps UCSC or UCI, it gets you on the "list" and started with your application early. Anyone know if thats true or anything else occurring?</p>
