Any successful junior transfers willing to share their experiences?

I’m currently a sophomore at a large public university in Canada (although I am an American), and for a lot of reasons, both social and academic, I feel like I need to transfer somewhere smaller, with a more academically serious student body. My girlfriend transferred into Bard as a sophomore, and after looking into the college some more it seems like a seriously good fit for me. She’s got a lot of helpful information, being a transfer herself, but she transferred with three years left instead of two, and I have some questions about how it would work for me.

So, for any junior transfers out there: how was the process of transferring credits? Do they tend to accept most credits as long as they’re in a subject that Bard offers? What about the whole process of moderation? Is it seriously complicated by the transfer process? (For what it’s worth, I already know what I’m majoring in, and I have a decent number of credits going towards it already.)
