Any suggestions for online classes?

Where can you take classes online? For credit, hopefully.
I'm looking at AP econs, AP Euro history, and AP govs

Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

i took ap microecon thru apex learning, it was pretty easy and prepared me well for the ap exam, but it’s pretty boring listening to about a thousand tutorials. all in all it’s okay

Econs are good.

My schools requires taking 2 electives to graduate, so I took 1 of them online. That way, my weighted GPA and rank are higher. Cheap trick, eh?

If I took classes online in my own spare time, would they count towards my GPA at school?

If you happen to live in the south parts of CA, UCI extension offer ap classes online

My school is really small-- around 440 students–so I’ve taken a lot of online AP classes over the years.

AP Art History was offered at my school through LearnNC (as in North Carolina). The teacher created a distinct “classroom” setting…you had to log on every day to show your “attendance,” and write in discussion boards to count for “class participation.” Sometimes we had to schedule group projects, which meant meeting over the Internet at a specified time, and dividing the work.

Most of my courses have been offered through Aventa Learning. They have a really great program…most of the courses are self-taught, and teachers respond to your e-mails within 24-48 hours. For my online AP Euro course, there were no tests. Just A LOT of essays. They really try to prepare you for the AP exam.

This year, I’m taking AP English Literature through Aventa. Once again, they have a great communication network, if you have any problems or questions.

My other AP online course,
AP U.S. Government/Comparative Government and Politics, run through the University of Oklahoma, is a nightmare. I didn’t get my textbooks until the beginning of October, and responses from coordinators takes forever. With that class, little communication with the “teacher” is required. It REALLY is on your own–TAs just grade your work.

Also, even if you take an AP online, be sure that the course covers all of the exam material. The comparative portion of my course didn’t–I had to make sure to buy a study guide before the exam.

Sorry if this was a really long post. Anyways, best of luck!

bump

i’m hoping for a place with credit and located in CA
