Any suggestions for universities based off stats?

If you’re in the top 10% of your class, NY State has a full tuition grant for SUNY if you study a STEM major and agree to stay and work in NY for a few years afterwards. It knocks SUNY tuition off the in-state rate at Cornell CALS as well. Check into it!

@thermom
I was aware of the STEM scholarship, and almost definitely will be taking advantage of it. The issue is I will most likely not get into Cornell based of current stats, and even so, not sure it makes much sense to deflate my GPA and chances of admission into Cornell Vet school. Also, even with STEM, Cornell is around ~44000 per year. So at this point it’s Geneseo vs. Bing I guess. :-<

@realperson2990 Ok, just wanted to make sure you knew about the program - it doesn’t seem to be all that well publicized. And state school for undergrad with the goal of Cornell for Vet sounds like a good plan to aim for. :slight_smile:

Has anybody heard anything about which majors are best for pre Vet? I’ve always assumed biology but… If I don’t get into vet school employment opprotunities are limited, I’m told( or not very well paying)

Major doesn’t matter. You just need to take the required courses. Pick a major in which you’re interested and will do well.
