AP Physics will be the death of me. Unlike the way it seems to work with nearly every other classmate of mine, it doesn't just click immediately with me when I see a bunch of equations and then a word problem to apply them to. Up until this point I've by some act of god managed to fake my way to A's on the tests, but that's mostly because our teacher is very lenient in his grading on the tests (giving tons of partial credit). I knew it would all come crashing down eventually, and it did today when I got back a D on my most recent exam. I try reading the chapter in the book and doing all of the problems that are assigned, but I don't really get the problems and rely on the explanations of others to get me through the week-long assignments we get in class. And then that doesn't carry over to the test. Worse still, I forget everything I learned in the first couple chapters, and it's Chapter 6. Which means I have to go back and review, taking hours of relearning. And then I forget it again.

I don't have this problem in any other class, really.

Textbook: Physics for Scientists and Engineers (by John Jewett)

I've picked up a copy of Cracking The AP Physics C exam by PR and it's done a wonderful job of helping me with the basic concepts, but it doesn't cover 100% of what we go over in class, and sometimes in not as much depth. Hence my most recent D.

Are there any other resources you guys would recommend? Tutors beyond my classmates are out of the question, my classmates are horrible tutors, and I'll ask my teacher for help but then I just need help again on the very next problem. I'm kind of desperate here, since it's only the beginning of the year and it'll all only get harder.

Thanks in advance.
