Need help with AP Physics

Okay here is the deal. I am a junior taking AP Physics C without ever having taking physics before (don't ask). I understand this was a huge mistake but I can't get rid of the class

For AP sciences my school gives a double block. Our teacher rarely does anything either block. After a lecture she gives us problems and tells us to do them. However, she never goes over the problems, despite the fact that we have about 90 minutes of spare time a day. I think they just let me take the class without having taken the prerequesite class because there weren't enough people enrolled (I also thought it was physics B, not C). I am really quite upset that a B/B+ in that class is going to kill my GPA, since I the lowest grade I had before was an A-. I know that some people think I shouldn't be complaining, but I am really upset because I could have just taken the regular physics class and gotten an A. I would have learned a lot more too, because I don't learn anything in this class. I am one of 2 people that does the homework problems we are given. The class is not taken seriously at all and I am very upset about it, because I am confident that if she just went over the homework and did things like a normal teacher I would have a great grade in that class.

As it stands I absolutely hate physics and I am going to stick as far away from any science classes again, even though I really liked them before I started this year.

I need some advice on what books to buy and study from for the AP test. It is probably too late to salvage a 90+ in that class, so maybe I could get a decent grade on the AP test at least. Currently in class we are using the Halliday book, which I personally think is a pretty bad book because it doesn't have enough example problems and is too proof focused instead of example focused. This is like what our teacher does in class. On the rare day she gives a lecture, she just copies the proof out of the book. We have done about 3 example problems in class all year long.

I am pretty sure it's not my fault I'm not doing well in that class. I'd probably have a B- if she didn't give labs worth a lot and things like that, but I just don't get the stuff there no matter how hard I try. Sometimes she will teach something and when I use it on a test she will just say I can't use that there. Well, that's great, and maybe it could have been avoidable if she clarified what the book said instead of copying it.

I'm sorry if I appeared stuck up or something to someone, but I really need some help because nothing I try gets me a 90. By the way, we are only doing Mechanics.

I hate physics :/

You are crazy... that class scares me to death. Props to you for taking that AP out of all the ones offered....

Sorry I can't be much help. I plan to get a sold 1 on the AP test. Hopefully, I'm better at physics in college than I was in high school...

As far as sample problems are concerned, the Barron's phyics C book has many, many problems, all of which are fully worked out. Most are probably more difficult thanyou will see on the test, but I think that's a good thing.
