Any tips for campus visit?

^ I guess that is true pretty much in the mid-west and up North.

When I saw the sheer number of construction projects this summer on their site, I honestly wondered how the entire campus isn’t just one giant orange cone.

When my daughter started in 2010, they were ripping up Sheridan and parts of Sherman, so they turned all kinds of streets into one-way streets. It was a total nightmare.

We are going to hit the road tomorrow and visit the campus on Thursday. Thank you all for the tips.

There are self-parking garages (pay to park) around campus (there is one near Allison Hall i believe). You should walk around the lake and take a look at the rocks. It’s always nice to see what students paint, for example, someone proposed on one of the rocks at the lake before, and lots of students paint rocks at the lake when they are about to graduate. You can take a look at Thr Rock too, but nobody paints it over the summer. While youre there, you could also get a picture at University Hall, and maybe with the weber arch too.

You should also visit Norris. It’s the student center on campus. You can buy starbucks, apparel, and just relax there.

If you go downtown, go to Andy’s Frozen Custard if the line isnt too long, it’s better than the coldstone. There’s also a Barnes and Noble, CVS, Whole Foods, and a bunch of other cool places.

The most dreamy part of the campus is the lake. So don’t miss it, take a while to walk around.

We got the one day permit for parking, but finding a parking spot is not easy. There are so many constructions going on that some parking lots are closed.
