Any tips on walking from WLH to York under 10-15min?

I heard it's impossible to get from Warren Lecture Hall to York Hall in 10 minutes so I was wondering if there are certain pathways to York that might be less time consuming? Should I avoid certain paths? Shuttle?

Thank you!

Take the underground tunnels. MUCH faster.

shuttles aren’t reliable enough. get a bike.

agreed the shuttles only come around campus loop at certain intervals and they take forever. You could leave class a couple minutes early and walk quickly, or get a bike. Maybe avoid library walk if it’s in the middle of the day…

You can do it, I could do it and I’m really short. You’ll learn to walk super fast at UCSD. I could get from WLH –> York in less than 10 minutes.

you could always learn to skate…slower than a bike and a bit more tiring, but at least you can carry the board around

walk fast.

SKATE! 10 char

Bike! Or run. :)

not to be rude. but im calling out radiance on his/her claim of york-WLH under 10!

walked (fast!) this route so many times I KNOW it takes at least 12mins. under 10, you must have been running.

and yes, leave class 1-2 minutes early, go through Price Center and you should be fine.

yeah, i don’t buy it either. getting to the building isn’t enough, gotta get to your classroom too. and the hike up to the 4th floor of York isn’t an easy one.

leave a couple minutes early? I did it 10-12 minutes walking fast though :o

try using this: CampusMap
it’s a good map; I used it when I had to get from phys to chem :x

I didn’t wanna make a new separate thread, so I’ll just ask in here:

Is it possible to make it to Thurgood Marshall College 102 from Pepper Canyon Hall? The site says 10:54 with the route given, but are there any short cuts I can take? Also is 20min/a mile like regular walking or a brisk pace? I really dont know lol

Uh, you’re going to be here for a few days before classes start (like moving in today). Why don’t you actually test it out? For all we know, you have legs like a gazelle and can get there in a hop, skip, and jump.
