<p>I submitted all materials probably about 3 weeks ago but lucky me, some great person in admissions did not realize that I had all my documentation in and withdrew my application! Now it has been reinstated but I am sure this has delayed my review process. Anywho, I am a transfer applying late and was wondering when you think I will get my decision? Anyone else applied late or known someone who has? I mean anything past mid June is unreasonable...right? Or has anyone not gotten their official decision until really late in the summer?</p>

<p>So I have officially been waitlisted! Im actually pretty excited because I was afraid I was going to get outright denied for applying so late. I guess now my question should be: How realistic is it for a wait listed student to be taken off that wait list? And around when is the latest they should know by regardless of what the decision is?</p>
<p>I would send them a letter to show them that you really is interested in the school. Update them with your final grades (if they are good) and call them. Good luck!!</p>
<p>Im guessing you have a son that goes to Rutgers? Did they do that, and did it work? Because it says specifically on their website to waiting list students to PLEASE not send them any letters saying why you should be admitted. </p>
<p>But my question still remains unanswered. How long should I expect to be on the wait list and should I even expect to be taken off the wait list at all. Each school is different. There are some schools where if a kid is wait listed I can say ‘yea you’ll probably get in, in a matter of time’ and there are other schools where if you are wait listed there is really not much hope for you.</p>
<p>My best advice would be for you to send us your spring 2012 semester grades as soon as they become available. If we determine that we have space for additional students, we will take the most competitive students off of the waiting list. However, because we cannot make any promises about admission, it is important that you begin making alternate college arrangements for this fall. If we are unable to admit you from the waiting list, you are welcome to reapply in September when our 2013 application becomes available. You will hear about your final status on the waiting list no later than early July.</p>
