Any way of negating grade inflation

Do colleges have any way of looking at GPA with the knowledge of wether a school inflates grades or not? Because if not I think that people that go to schools that do inflate have a huge huge advantage over others.

that’s what standardized tests are for. a kid with an A+ in APUSH but a 2 on the AP exam obviously had inflated grades, for example.

They receive a report from your counselor that lists the highest GPA of any student, as well as the counselor’s judgement of your “academic achievement.” Your rank will also help account for inflation/deflation, if your school ranks.

Some schools also use data from past applicants from your school. They may have regional admissions staff that have more insight into your highschool.

And like the above poster mentioned, scores on standardized exams help as well.

Thanks for clearing that out!
