Any way to get an Art credit to meet my college's admissions requirements?

Hey guys! I'm currently taking 5 AP courses at my school with no way to add anymore classes into my schedule. However, a majority of my colleges (Berkeley, University of washington etc) require at least one art credit during your high school year. Not having an art credit would require me to go out and find pretty much a whole new list of colleges I want to apply to and as of now my guidance cousnlors can't fit an art class into my schedule. Is there any way at all possible to get an art credit or around this requirement without taking community college courses? I've taken piano and violin courses out of school but they don't seem to count. How strict are colleges about that one art credit? Thanks for the help guys!

For California public universities, see <a href=“University of California Counselors”>University of California Counselors;

For the University of Washington, see https://admit.washington.edu/Admission/Freshmen/CADR#fine-visual-performing-arts</a> .

Note that out-of-state public schools tend not to give good financial aid. Try their net price calculators to see.

You could look into online options.

@ucbalumnus‌ Thanks for the info! Those are the pages that I saw that prompted me to post this is there anyway to accomplish those credits without taking a high school class? Thanks!

@skieurope I tried looking into them but do you have any examples? Thanks!

@skieurope Thanks for the link! The prices do seem a little bit outrageous though. I’m not sure if I want to shell out 350 dollars so I can apply to my colleges
