anybody date out of high school?

Do any of you date out of high school? As in you're still in high school but you're dating someone not from your high school.

So say how you met the person, where, how it's going, etc...

thanks!

I have before... before the beginning of senior year i lived in an area of central indiana where all the high schools intermingle a lot so everyone knows a bunch of ppl from diff. schools. I met the few outside girls i dated at parties, games and through mutual friends. With that said.... the relationships were fine at first but after a while they really sucked. They were always hearing things about me at my school and i would hear things about them and we argued a lot and since we didnt see each other everyday we didnt really have to deal with it... my longest relationship with an other schoolers is 48 days

Let's see I've dated someone from work, we'll just say she was a bit too old... Someone from one of the catholic schools here (hey... uniforms...), she couldn't make up her mind between me and her ex, so I said screw it. Someone from my church... okay a couple people from my church. Sweet while it lasts, but awkward after it's over..

Ugh. I went out with this girl from South Jersey. It was mainly an online/phone thing. It lasted 9 days.

I do a lot of community/outside of school activities (theatre, various meetings, dance, etc) so i know a lot of high schoolers who don't go to my school. My boyfriend is from another school and i met him through theatre.

Considering I go to an all boys private school, I think it is rather difficult for me to date someone from my school; unless I was gay, or I had a fetish for older women...

So all the girls that I have been with are from different schools, and I have met them through friends or parties.

yeah... i go to an all girls private school so i sortof have to meet people from other schools.

mostly girls at my school just meet guys from our "brother" school or other private schools in our little group... we intermingle a lot at football & hockey games, parties, etc so it's not hard to meet other people

I never meet guys outside of school. Two of my major ECs (horseback riding and photography) are outside of school, but we're all girls there... no real dating opportunities for a straight girl.

i'm dating someone who goes to a local college
5 1/2 months
my longest relationship :)

There's this huge body of water called the Pacific Ocean between me and my bf lol. I never went to school in Cali so yes, that is an out-of-school romance there.

Last year I had a couple relationships out of school. I dated guys from the Munich University. Those were doomed from the start though, they were a bit too old for me at the time. But it was fun while it lasted. At the time I thought it was nice because you didn't have to see them everyday at school and it was the "cool" thing to do. But now I'm dating someone in my school and I realized its nice to see them at school. I like it better.

I've been dating my first boyfriend so far for about 9 months, I'm a senior in high school and he's a sophomore in college 600 miles away.

NintyFresh, thats a rather peculiar relationship you got going there... 600 miles is a lot. Hmmmm.... interesting

Yeah that's a huge distance. We have a lot of people here who date at the other HS in my district (they're like 5 minutes from each other), so that's pretty common. :)

Yeah, it is a very long distance. >_<

He and I talk everyday online, since he's deaf...though sometimes we use IPRelay. I can only see him again when I can go off to college next year, since I last saw him when I went to visit in June. At least, my parents both adore him as his parents do of me.

Wow, that's pretty cool that you can still keep in contact though.

I think a long distance relationship would be too hard for me. And dating people from other high schools is hard because of the whole rumor situation...

nintyfresh does your boyfriend use hearing aids/cochlear implant? does he sign?

He uses digital hearing aids, and he does know sign language. Most of the time though, he'll speak, albeit with a 'deaf' accent, and try to listen to people even if what is said needs to be repeated. I've been learing ASL and SEE to try and sign with him when I see him again.

That's amazing NintyFresh, it's really great that you can maintain such a relationship! It must be hard to keep in touch!
