anybody farmiliar with the band...

<p>Hi - I'm a junior in a suburban Milwaukee hs, so I'm still a few years out from this, but just how hard is it to get into the marching band at madison? I know it can't be a cake walk because the band is amazing. Any suggestions on what I can do to prepare myself to audition when the time rolls around?</p>

<p>yeah! Im going to be in the marching band (hopefully anyway) this fall so my advice would be </p>

<ol>
<li><p>be in shape...gotta have the strength for the 8 hours of practice a day the first week! They say run, bike, swim, whatever but I think running is the most beneficial</p></li>
<li><p>be able to play...although this isnt as important as the being in shape deal.</p></li>
</ol>
