Anybody going to Vandy's open house this weekend?

???????????????????????

Will be there Saturday with S

Definitely! I am planning on attending the open house on Monday. I've never spent a great deal of time in the south so I am excited to meet the locals and, naturally, the students who I may be spending the next four years with. Do you know where most of the incoming freshmen are coming from?

Yup, I will be coming from Houston for the engineering open house on Saturday. This visit will prolly be the deciding factor for whether or not I will attend Vanderbilt this fall.

I, too, am coming down for the Monday open house. Living in New York most of my life, I've actually never been to the South besides a family trip to Disneyworld when I was eight. I am truly looking forward to visiting Nashville. We're staying in this hotel that used to be an old church and is supposidly not too far from campus. I wish I could spend more time down there this trip (we're only going to spend two nights) but I'm having enough trouble trying to gather sufficient money for tuition payments!

Hopefully this visit will give me the perspective and knowledge I'll need to make my decision between Vandy and NYU. I went to the NYU Open House this past Sunday and wasn't particularly impressed. But I've spent a few nights at a friend's dorm down there and it was a much different experience from what was around on Sunday. Academically, NYU is where I'm leaning, but if Vandy's campus, community, and academics manage to impress the heck out of me, it will make it an even more challenging decision! I just wish they had a larger East Asian Studies program!!!

Good luck to everyone on their trip, and enjoy the open house!

hey im going to the open house on saturday, my mom and i are coming from pittsburgh.

I am going too!!!
But its a pain in the neck as I have to drive one way for 13hrs

that means I am stuck in driving in a cramped car for more than a day!!

I just got back from the engineering open house. It was great. After meeting the faculty and seeing the campus, I think I will probably enroll at vanderbilt.

What was so good about the campus and academics?

I'm headed out in 30 minutes to the airport for my plane to Nashville!

Agreed: the open house was pretty good. Linus365, what engineering are you looking at?

Biomedical

hmm, I probably saw you then. I was in the biomedical group tour also.

open house was nice, i was lucky enough to have discussions with burgess and prof rowe on friday, they were very helpful and just awesome guys. i went on the biomed tour but i wasnt paying much attention, i more just talked with the others open housers and the current students.
