I, personally, was really surprised by the apparent difference between the girls walking around campus in sundresses and the parties on frat row vs. the tour guides/prospective engineering students. BME research seemed kind of blah, and was really disappointed that there were currently no paid research positions(according to a student). On the other hand, BME professor seemed amazing and the eng guys were not bad ;]

It was pretty good, even though I’m going into BME that tour wasn’t the most interesting thing lol But the Commons were amazing, I just can’t wait!

p.s. I was the one with that black sweater vest lol

ive been admitted to the schoolofengineering but couldnt attend this because im an international. could someone summarize what this was all about next to his/her thoughts about the event?

The engineers typically aren’t the pretty girls you see in sundresses walking around campus but a lot of the engineers are the same fraternity guys who party with them so you can be part of both crowds.

I second Vandyguy. Also for the engineering school to have any girls is awesome. Look at other engineering schools and their ratios. I think Vandy’s BME program has like 40% girls, aspiring doctors.
