Anybody here an anime lover?

I'm a huge fan of Hayao Miyazaki's movies... in terms of series, I like Full Metal Alchemist, Ghost in the Shell: StandAlone Complex, Cowboy Bebop, Naruto...

I've never seen Ghost in the Shell...but it's on my list of "need-to-watch" series...the music from it is gorgeous! Poor quasarqueen! Don't worry, I think Inuyasha's a cute series from what I've seen so far.

Mobile Suit Gundam (The few UC series) and Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Good stuff.

I hate anime but I do like Japanese Sentai. Sentai is live action combat. Some people may know it as Power Rangers, but trust me, Sentai is far different from Power Rangers. While Power Rangers is really cheesy, Sentai is far more serious. Power Rangers just steals the footage from the sentai footage and makes changes. For example, the yellow ranger in the original Power Rangers is actually a guy in the Japanese Sentai show, and the green ranger who loses his powers in Power Rangers not only does that on Sentai but also dies. It's far more serious, much better produced, and worth watching if you can understand the Japanese in it.

If you want to start watching it I recommend Zyuranger, the 1992-1993 series that became our Mighty Morphin Power Rangers after Saban practically vandalized the show. There aren't any floating heads in tubes, high-voiced robots, evil tyrants who get headaches, or fat dudes who get detention. It's pure good.

I'm not really into anime, as they tend to ruin some of my favorite mangas >:(. I'm a fan of the darker and slightly disturbingmangas, such as Lament of the Lamb. As well as some others that probably will never be translated into English, such as Saito Chiho sensei's "Kanon" and "Kakan no Madonna". I could like shoujos as long it's not one of those brainless hogwashes. The MANGAs of Marmalade Boy and Paradise Kiss are quite good. And Flower of Eden (Eden no Hana), and I'm excited because Tokyopop is finally translating some of my favorite mangas!

I've started watching Fantastic Children. It has really good art and mysterious, but the plot hasn't been that gripping yet (on ep 4 out of 26)
