<p>I had a buddy who did a semester at sea. Told all sorts of great stories but it was REALLY expensive.</p>
<p>sounds EXACTLY like that old show Breaker High...except that show was high school.</p>
<p>20k is exactly how much it costs for one semester at any ivy or top colelge</p>
<p>but you still have to pay some enrollment fees for college while you're out at sea</p>

<p>Got shipwrecked, almost died. </p>
<p>But she had lots of fun after they got them a boat that wasnt sinking!</p>

<p>Well, I'm going to spend a year at sea... except I'm actually going to be working on the ship, not taking a cruise... and the government is paying me to do it. And I'll be going to the Persian Gulf. </p>

<p>I am planning on signing up for the semester at sea. Seems like fun. Nobody pays for it out of pocket people get financial aid and sponsors.</p>

<p>whatever you do, DO NOT go off alone with any people or tribes you meet! one of the teachers was saying how her daughter did that and to make a long story short, was beaten with a baseball bat by an angry tribal leader.</p>

<p>haha, more like she got invited to go to some kind of singing ceremony and then tried to intervene to stop a public beating of a woman. she really got beat up - broken hip and other injuries.</p>
<p>funny how a tribal leader had a baseball bat.... maybe it was snatched from a previous group of sportsmen-sailors.</p>
