<p>I failed my midterm miserably.
I had one of those episodes that I've heard people talk about, but never thought would happen to me.
I knew the material. But I was starving, sleep deprived I panicked. My hands were shaking. I didn't finish on time, and know that I failed. Miserably.
So I wanna drop the class with a W. </p>
<p>The problem is, if I drop the class I'll be 2 units short of 13 units.
Is there ANYTHING I can get involved with at this point that will give me two units??
I'm desperate.</p>

<p>i had the exact situation down to the t for a midterm in a class that sgould have been a joke to me too...that sucks i know:/ i am not sure if you can add even a decal at this point because the deadline passed on9/26 i beleive if youre l&s...i wouldnt be so quick to drop though b/c it is still possible to pass a class even after bombing a midterm supposedly in many cases...</p>

<p>Right now it's too late to drop. You can however switch to P/NP, take an NP, and take the class again for a letter grade later.</p>
<p>If one gets a NP and takes the same class later and gets a letter grade. Does that letter grade take the place of the NP or is the NP and the letter grade shown?</p>
<p>you should talk to your professor whether you should drop it or not.
it would be much better if you just switch to P/NP.
if you can drop and can still add a class, add a DeCal.</p>
<p>Can you drop a class without getting a "W" on your transcript if the professor puts in a word for you dropping it?</p>
