TCNJ offers the advertised scholarship to anyone who meets the requirments. There is no debate or consideration about the issue. If you have the sat score and rank, you will get the money that is listed in the matrix (assuming u got admitted into tcnj of course).

I think it's awesome that somebody posted something about TCNJ. My mom went there when it was Trenton State, and I'm looking forward to applying ED next year.

I'm with Tally1.
CC start an individual forum in the school section for TCNJ.
What do you think, moderators?

i just got in.

congrats to baykin and all other acceptees!

To you all who have been accepted: first, congrats! Second, is this the ED round you're reporting on, or did you apply RD ?

i applied RD... ED decisions went out a while ago. as for adding tcnj to CC... i think that's a wonderful idea.

Congrats to everyone who has been accepted. I just graduated from TCNJ in August - BA in Psych. The academics are rigorous and it's a really good school. If you have any questions, PM me or email me. Congrats and best of luck.

Beth

i applied RD

yay~just found out yesterday that i got accepted to tcnj :D

congratulations!

Have you heard anything further regarding merit aid?

haha thanks!!

not yet...about merit aid but hopefully soon...as according to the table [class rank (our school gives out rank only for scholarship purposes so should be soon) + sats] i should be getting at least some hopefully.

I got my letter two days ago, but I haven't heard about scholarships eithet yet.

no luck on scholarships... i did get an application for their honors program. looks like it's something new. anyone know anything about it? is it worth it?

I've heard of students who did not receive the listed award because their HS would not provide a rank. TCNJ requires rank, regardless of HS policy. In another case, a student went to a small private school and he was not ranked that high, even though he was a very good student. This is one problem faced by kids in private/magnet schools. In this case, it's better to be one of the top kids in a lower scoring school.

my school provides rank if the college specifically asks for it.. i thought TCNJ told the school they need it if the school doesn't provide it. oh well.

chemaddict ~ if TCNJ is a serious choice for you, have your guidance counselor confirm that he/she submitted the rank.

The NJ schools that do not formally rank are sensitive to these requirements and know to formulate a rank for scholarship purposes, when required.

Since you are from PA, your school may not undestand the importance of this requirement. Make sure your GC is earning his/her pay.

it would seem to me my guidance councellor knows about class rank and TCNJ, as he is the one that enlightened me about it in the first place.

i went in and talked to him, and he said that my rank is caculated officially and is on file if it is requested (this was a while ago)

I just got the letter today. I was Accepted RD as a Political Science major with a full scholarship. That's going to be pretty tough to pass up, but I haven't visited the school yet. And chemaddict17, I haven't heard anything about an honors program, can you give some info about it? Thanks.
