<p>All I really know about George Mason is that they were a fairytale NCAA basketball team this year, and that they have a good law school. Perhaps that NCAA run will help them get some more applications, but don't bank on it. What's the deal with GMU, are they public? Or private? Doesn't VA have enough good public schools in UVA/VT/W&M???</p>
<p>well, gmu was originally part of UVA, but it split off, and i believe it is public...</p>
<p>its still a rising school, it's trying to position itself as the premier university for the MD-NOVA-DC area</p>
<p>This school gave me like a free ride, in the opinion of those who who have forst hand knowledge of the school is it worth it?</p>
