Duke: Reach (see above)
Vanderbilt: Reach
NWU: Reach
GWU: Match
USC: Match
PSU: Safety

bump…

Your courseload is good and your extracurriculars are okay. I’d worry about your CR score for the SAT though, maybe you could retake it if you still have time? I think you have a pretty good chance at UNC, you may get in at Stanford if you have some spectacular essays and recommendation letters.

I thought about taking the SAT again to get CR up but I looked up some of these schools’ middle 50% and most start at 670 or 680, I know that at the bottom or right below the range isn’t great but at least it puts me in the range. And I’m at the top end in writing and well above in math for most of my schools so I thought that would balance it out.

And yes I know for a fact that my essays and letters of recommendation are spectacular

Geez I have similar stats to you, except I have a 2120 SAT, so when they tell you that you’re a reach for NU and UNC (two schools that I’m looking at), I get concerned for myself!

The only tough ones might be Duke, Northwestern, and Stanford. IMO you should be in at UNC…I know its selective, but I think you should be in. Stanford being the most difficult of course

bump…

anyone else??

retake the SAT for critical reading. George Washington shouldn’t be too hard or Penn State.

Unfortunately, I cannot take the SAT again. My November SAT date got moved because of the hurricane to a date I couldn’t attend and I am taking the Subject Tests in December. So I guess I’ll have to settle for what I have.

Can anyone else chance me? I don’t know if I mentioned this but I have spectacular essays and recommendations.

And I have already been accepted to Penn State so no need to include that one any more.
