Anyone else NOT get their decision yet?

waiting.......

still waiting here in nj. status changed to review back in early feb but date is still 1/05
ugh

I haven't received anything yet and my status date is still 12/19/08.

So if a couple people at my school got accepted already and I haven't found out yet, does that mean I didn't get in?

konakai27, i wouldn't think that. there is still plenty of time until the notifications are supposed to be given out (april 1).

i think that USC is going to be my first notification, and god i hope it's a good one.

I called admissions and asked if there were going to be more acceptances from california and his response was "Oh yes, many, many, more."

But I read on another board that USC does not send out applications in waves.

If it didnt send out its decisions in waves then all the decisions would have already been made, which isnt the case...

"I called admissions and asked if there were going to be more acceptances from california and his response was 'Oh yes, many, many, more.' "

THAT JUST MADE ME EXTREMELY HAPPY. Hahaha! YES! I'm excited now!

And I called the admissions office and they said "We send out acceptances as decisions are made." I think there is no wave system. Or they admit people and they acceptances just gather up and then they send them all out at once.. IDK. OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

Do you know when the next wave is?
Also, would they have notified me upon receiving my transcript. I sent it in a long time ago but never received a confirmation. Also, did we have to send in mid-years by mail, or could we have just done it online?

Whoops. I didn't read the previous comment.
My friend and I have very similar stats and applied for the same major, but she got in yesterday and I've heard nothing... could it be because of the above reasons I stated?

I have very similar stats to two girl at my school who got in yesterday and I haven't gotten in. I'm male, too. There have only been a total of 3 girls to get in from my school... I think this could give me an edge....

Was a counselor recommendation required? I had two teachers do mine.

"Oh yes, many, many, more!"

that just made my day :)

I'm not sure if a counselor rec was required :/ I think it might've been.

And, Shane, it made my day too! SOOOOOO MUCH HAPPIER NOW!

Crap. I thought it said counselor or teacher.

I KNOW!!!

hopefully tomorrow or friday or next monday...but sooner the better :)

I need definite answers to these three questions:

Would they have notified me upon receiving my transcript? I sent it in a long time ago but never received a confirmation.

Did we have to send in mid-years by mail, or could we have just done it online?

Was a counselor rec required?

I submitted my mid-year grades online, but also had an official transcript sent just in case. The only confirmation I got was my current status: "We received the fall grades we requested, and require no additional information at this time. We will mail decisions to freshman applicants by April 1st." which was updated a day after I submitted my grades online. And the rec could have been from a counselor or a teacher. People from my school who didn't submit their mid-year grades got accepted though, so I don't know how much they actually matter.

I sent in a transcript from classes that I took at a CC over the past summers and I asked if they got it via email and they replied within a week saying that they did. You should do the same thing, even if it is for your HS transcript.

I submitted mine online, check the online application.

I'm not sure. I think they wanted two teacher rec's AND a counselor, but I'm not too sure.
