Peru is (like most south american countries right now) sort of chaotic right now, with slums and developed cities. Just keep your eyes open, be street smart, and enjoy.</p>
<p>Best country a westerner can travel in. Sightseeing, culture, experience it wins for sure. </p>
<p>In terms of safety, like all foreign countries just be aware and use common sense. Don’t flash valuables around in public, watch small streets at night etc.</p>
