Damn that mad scary.

Haha…i’m from SoCal and live on a major fault line so i understand. People seem pretty freaked out but that’s understandable considering they don’t happen on the east coast often. Was it your first earthquake?

In terms of “scariness.” The earthquakes of the coasts are nothing compared to seeing a funnel cloud in the distance amidst a green-colored sky and tornado sirens blaring. That’s what we got in the Midwest.

Notice, I didn’t say “dangerous.” Earthquakes are still pretty cool.

I heard about it! I thought it was interesting but hopefully nobody was hurt…

The east coast also has a lovely little hurricane after it too :X

Yeah I felt it too. I taught my house was going to fall down on me o.O I’m from NY

I felt it, although I have to say I think everyones making a bigger deal about it than it is, at least where I’m from. Some people are saying it was super scary while others tell me they didn’t feel it. Personally I barely felt it, at first I was really confused cause my house was shaking a little, I just thought someone was hammering something to the house, I’ve been in worse earthquakes, but honestly unless things are falling over and off the shelfs you can’t really call it scary.

I didnt feel it in GA

Felt it, didnt realise it was an earthquake until 20 minutes later when my mom called and asked me if I felt it

I didn’t feel it all in PA

felt it in nj. thought I was going insane until I saw a bunch of facebook statuses saying there was an earthquake. it felt like a car crashed into the side of my house and everything shook for a minute.

My dad felt it at work, but I didn’t. Connecticut.

My cousin posted a picture of her apartment after the earthquake happened. Her pokemon figurines fell down.

Felt it. I thought it was an earthquake. It was cool but then again it was just an aftershock.

I felt it in ny but i thought that my sisters were messing with me cuz the bed and desk was moving but then i saw no one underneath which made me think i was going crazy. But then i heard about it on the radio so i was fairly relieved that it wasnt just me.

I felt it at school during lunch. My friend thought I was shaking the table. I saw the posters on the wall moving and concluded it was an earthquake. I got into Honors Physics and that was the first thing I looked up when we got on the computer. The epicenter was about 2 hours from where I live. I live near I-85 in NC near the VA border.

I live in northern Virginia, and due to the mountains where I live got hit the worst. It was sort if funny because my school’s reaction was really delayed… They didnt make an announcement until 30 minutes later, and then screamed at everyone to leave the building. They must have found structural damage or else their reaction wouldn’t have been that extreme.
