does anyone feel really depressed because of college..

i feel mad depressed and worried theres too many things to think about:
-college essays
-college applications
-get my counselor to send my transcripts to all my 4 schools the 1st day of school
-study for SAT's since its my last chance
-study for SAT II Match Level IIC in november
-worry about getting accepted to my wanted schools
-how am i going to pay 50k a year if I go to cornell's hotel school
-i have to get my gpa up during my first 2 marking periods
-i have band and marching band leadership responsibilities..

man i feel just so crammed up with my schedule and i get really depressed looking at the future..

maybe you should set more easily reached goals and have a backup plan incase you dont get accepted that way you wont feel like everything depends on getting into cornell.

write an essay about how you stood up to some racists who were beating up on a minority, i think that impress colleges

October-ish is certainly good enough (for ea) in terms of the "receive by" vs. "post-marked by" date and will keep you on the better-side of your counselor.

Don't worry, I think we all feel overwhelmed at some point. I don't even have a list of schools to apply to yet - but anyhow, set realistic goals, work hard in the time you do have, and you'll have no reason to regret anything. Things will seem easier once you look back.
